The [ANSWER_*My Custom Question] will work but it needs to be placed within a section of the email template that will accept that shortcode. For example if you’re editing the Registration Approved message type, then the above shortcode can be placed into the [ATTENDEE_LIST] * section of the template.
[QUESTION_LIST] takes all of the questions from the requestion and loops over each of them, outputting the details from that section for each question.
So you can not use an ANSWER_* shortcode to pull a specific answer on each question, that wouldn’t make sense.
So to output the answer to a specific question on the ticket template, you can use [RECIPIENT_ANSWER_*], in the example above it would be [RECIPIENT_ANSWER_*My Custom Question].
