Hello,
i would like to know if its possible to have events as gift?
As far as i understand the features it would be possible to make a code that makes a 100% discount on a event – but there wouldn’t be a way to control this.
I’m rather thinking of something like a code that you could only use once to register for free? Like a gift card/code.

Hi Hannes,
The social coupon addon (formerly Groupon addon) will allow you to create a discount code that applies a 100% discount to an event:
https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-groupon/
It is available for Event Espresso 3.

So just to make sure, with the groupon plugin it is possible to have special codes that can be like a 100% discount on a certain event (like giftcard) and also expire after they have been used?
is that right?

Hello,
The coupon codes are used once. You can enable the social coupon for only a specific event and leave it turned off through the event editor for others.
This will ensure that it only applies to a specific event.
