I signed up for the EE4 demo to test out and play with the system but it gives me an error when trying to upload images and the shortcode (for the attendee list) isn’t working. Is this just because it is the demo site?
Otherwise, very impressed!

Hi Stefanie,
Can you let me know which WP theme you have set up and what the error message is when you upload an image? This may be because of the demo site, but we can look into it.
There currently isn’t an attendee list shortcode that prints an attendee list on a WP page, but we have some example code that can be used to print attendee lists that can be applied on a regular site.

It’s the default theme iced mocha.
The error message on image upload just says “HTTP error.”
It looks like the shortcode [LISTATTENDEES] (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#attendee-list) only works for EE3, will EE4 eventually have these shortcodes as well?

Hi Stefanie,
I checked into the demoee.org site and the image uploader is locked down for security purposes. You’ll be able to upload images on your own site, and can even try this out with the decaf version of Event Espresso 4 if you’d like. There’s a free copy of EE4 decaf you can download under the free downloads section of your account page.
EE4 might one day have a list attendees shortcode. Will the PHP snippet I shared with you work or are you specifically needing a shortcode for this?
