I followed the new instructions for creating a default ticket, but it doesn’t seem to be working. When I create a ticket after I set that, it still says this ticket is free. Also, is this something that needs to be done for every event? I can’t set a global price for all of the events I create? Also, suggestion: When searching the Help Documents here, it would be really helpful if they were sorted newest to oldest. Most times answers from 2017 won’t be helpful, or I would at least want to look at newer ones first. Also, if they could be filtered or divided by forum topics vs. documentation that would also make it easier to find what I want. |

Once you created default ticket, This default ticket will only applied whenever you create new Event. 1.) Add Default ticket 2. Add new Event 3. You will notice, by default you will have default ticket showing up. thanks |

I have events that I keep adding new datetimes to. Default tickets only showing up when I create a new event is very inconvenient for me. I will have to create a lot of events over that are already in use. |

Default tickets are only used when those tickets exist as default tickets when a new event is created. It is not possible for several reasons. If a new default ticket was created it would: thus, past events could be re-activated and cause other issues. Thus, default tickets are only used for new events so the event organizer can confirm that the correct tickets and datetimes are set up for the current event. |

Ok, but Events themselves don’t have a date, they rely on having upcoming datetimes. So I might have an Event that I created 3 years ago that I’m still using because I keep adding new datetimes to it. Sometimes I might go months without an upcoming datetime for an event, and then one gets scheduled and I have to create a new datetime and a new ticket. Why can’t the default ticket only be used for newly added datetimes that are in the future? |

If a new default ticket was created for past events then:
Thus, default tickets are only used for new events so the event organizer can confirm that the correct tickets and datetimes are set up for the current event. |

September 27, 2023 at 12:27 pm I’m aware of the recurring event manager, however, it won’t work for me because my recurring events are not on a set schedule (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc). I have some events (classes) that have no scheduled dates until the instructor knows of enough people that are interested in the class to put one on the schedule. Since the event (class) description is exactly the same for every datetime scheduled, there is no reason, and in fact it would be a waste of time, to keep creating new events just so I could add a new datetime. I only create new events at the end of the year, just to clear out the history, but the events are still exactly the same as the previous year. |

Thank you. We’re very sorry that the current workflow doesn’t meet your need. I did bring your suggestion to our teem, but making the default ticket affect the past event is not doable and could cause problem. thanks again and have a wonderful day. |
