We opened an event , tested everything and after 5 of our staff tested it all we all got registration email confirmations automatically sent after our registration was approved and now 2 weeks later that has stopped and I didn’t touch a thing. A couple days ago I had to manually ‘resend registration details’ to people and that seemed to work, but not ideal at all I can’t manually do this….. but now today when I did that to new registrants we got today I am getting an error code that it is not sending anything now won’t go through, please see below, I need help !!! – Michele :$

Message was not executed successfully.
Messenger and Message Type were valid and active, but the messenger send method failed.
The email did not send successfully.
The WordPress wp_mail function is used for sending mails but does not give any useful information when an email fails to send.
It is possible the “to” address (michele@tbexcon.com) or “from” address (michele@tbexcon.com) is invalid.

Hi,

If you go to test an email from one of the email Message template editors, do you receive the test? If so, it may help to go to Event Espresso > Messages > Message Settings and set the the option for emails to be sent on the same request.

If not, can you verify whether *other* emails (like a WordPress password reset email) can be sent from your site?

In most cases, setting up a third party service to deliver email will resolve email delivery issues. The built-in mail servers (especially those that are used for shared hosting accounts) can be unreliable. We recommend using a service like Mandrill, Postmark, or any of the other services listed in our documentation for sending transactional email. More info here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/

Alternatively, you could also use a gmail account and configure a plugin like the WP Mail SMTP plugin to send the emails.
