We are trying to customize the emails that go out to our registrants. We’ve installed custom code which seems to be working on Apple devices (ie, Macs, iPads, and iPhones) but not on PCs. On a PC, none of the formatting appears including fonts or backgrounds. Also, the spacing is messed up. Here is a link to the email code: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1d5VnKWO2mBOxwaa-uKKTtl0KBISwMKDHd1F9tTTEvDA/edit?usp=sharing Any idea why this is happening? |
Hi Wendy, do you have a screenshot available of what is occurring? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots For example, are you seeing some lines of CSS above the content for the email? Thanks — |

Hi Lorenzo. Here is a link to how it looks on a mac and how we want it to look: https://www.ipdealmakersforum.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Screen-Shot-2015-07-05-at-4.46.09-PM.png and here is a link to how it looks on a PC: https://www.ipdealmakersforum.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Screen-Shot-2015-07-05-at-4.46.09-PM.png |
Hi Wendy, both of those links are the same. Could you share an updated link for the PC where it isn’t working. Thank you — |

Sorry about that. Here you go: |

Hi Wendy, Is that Outlook? If it is Outlook, and emails look good elsewhere (e.g. webmail like Gmail), then there’s some work ahead. Outlook uses Microsoft Word to display HTML emails (I know, weird right?!), and as such basically ignores the past 10-15 years of HTML and web changes/guidelines. Mailchimp has a good article on it: http://kb.mailchimp.com/campaigns/previews-and-tests/my-campaign-looks-bad-in-outlook Here’s an in depth guide on what is and isn’t supported in the different versions of Outlook: https://litmus.com/blog/a-guide-to-rendering-differences-in-microsoft-outlook-clients Email on Acid, has a detailed 20 page guide (but you have to sign up to their mailing list to get it) https://www.emailonacid.com/blog/article/email-development/tips_and_tricks_outlook_07-13 |

Hi Dean. Thanks for this information, but I will need some help with this. Is there any way anyone at Event Espresso can help or can you recommend someone? |
Hi Wendy, We can recommend contacting any of the pros listed on this page for inquiries about customization services: |
