Custom Templates Not Working / Appearing

I’m trying to create custom email templates for an upcoming event and am having some problems.

  • There are no “Custom” buttons on the list of default email templates (however in the tutorial video, it shows this)
  • I did manage to create a custom “Registration Approved” template, however it is not showing up on the dropdown in the event editor

Please help as I need to get this event live this week.

Solved this problem – just had to turn off “OVERRIDE CUSTOM” on the individual templates

Hi there,

I’m glad you figured this out.

Just to add some additional info on this for future readers, each message type has the ‘Override all custom’ option within the template editor:

That is within:

Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates -> {edit template}

And it basically disabled the custom message templates for the message type it is enabled on.
