Custom email not triggering

Is it possible to check my settings? I created a new custom email template to use for an event. Then in event, chose the template under notifications, emails. However, it is still not triggering the email.

For event on 4/15/20. Thanks!

Hi there,

All of your event data is stored on your own site, so we don’t have an access to it.

May I ask, are you using the Multi Event Registration add-on?

Which message type did you edit?

Did you edit the correct ‘context’? (See HERE)

Hi,

We actually do not have access to check your settings. If you would like someone from Event Espresso staff to check the settings, this would normally require the purchase of a support token.

If you check the Event Espresso > Messages page, are any messages shown for registrations for that event?

If you check the transaction is there a payment shown?

One thing to keep in mind about Multi Event Registration, if the transaction has registrations for more than one event, then the default message templates will be used instead of custom templates. The transaction would need to have registrations for only the one event in order to use a custom template for that event.

A payment of $0 would not trigger a payment received email. It would need to be a payment of an amount greater than $0 in order to trigger that email message type.

Ok, is there an email we can set up to confirm registration for the event without payment?

The Registration Approved email is sent after a registration has been approved without payment.

If you do not see an option to select registration approved email, then that means it’s been deactivated. You can reactive email message types by going to Event Espresso > Messages > Settings, then click then drag the inactive message type over to the Activated messages box.
