Hi, we have a problem with custom confirmation emails for events.

event espresso sends payment ones but not custom confirmation emails.

It was working a few adays ago, but suddenly no more. We have not changed anything.

We have the correct options like…
Send custom confirmation emails for this event? YES

Thanks in advance

Does Event Espresso send the default confirmation email or none at all now?

Depending on you settings the confirmation email is either triggered on the Thank you page or just after the user has entered their registration information.

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Email Settings.

What is the option ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’ set to currently?

Within the Event Editor where you have:

Send custom confirmation emails for this event? YES

Are you selecting a pre-existing email (option 1) created through the email manager or using the custom email field within the editor itself (option 2) – http://take.ms/eqyJP

We are receiving payment confirmation

Our mail settings

Send payment confirmation YES
Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received NO
Use fancy email headers NO

Within the Event Editor:

Send custom confirmation emails for this event? YES
We are selecting option 2

Hi Ana, excluding payment emails (those are from the payment processor) — are you receiving regular WordPress emails or emails from any other plugins on your site?

The reason I ask is that Event Espresso itself does not send out emails but uses a native WordPress function called wp_mail which then uses the local mail server.

If WordPress itself isn’t sending out messages such as those for password resets, then the notifications for Event Espresso will not work.

One more thing to check is your SPAM or Junk mail folder.

Could you share feedback?

Thanks!

Lorenzo

Hello again Ana, could you let us know how you solved the issue?

If they were in the spam or junk mail folder, then please setup a transactional email service like Mandrill or Postmark app:
