Under General Settings, after saving United Kingdom as the Country, on returning it is not being saved. Many thanks WP 4.1 |
Hi Steven, Are you within General Settings -> You Organization or General Settings -> Countries? ‘Your Organization’ is where you set your country for your site/events. The ‘Countries’ tab is to allow you to edit various settings. For example currency, decimal/thousands markers, add ‘states’ (although we call them counties in the UK) So if you go to General Settings -> Your Organization. Set the country there, does it save? |

Many thanks Tony At this point I could make an excuse, but there isn’t one. So just to clarify, if not US or Canada, it seems that you have to first save your Country in the Organisation Tab, then add and save your States/Counties for that Country in the Countries tab, before returning to the Organisation Tab to add your State/County of your Organisation. |
Currently that’s correct, however we do have a UK ‘State Pack’ plugin that will add the UK Counties for you. You can find is here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/install-new-state-province-packs/ |

Sorry no, that’s not correct. You can edit United Kingdom within ‘Countries’, adding the counties needed etc. Then Save. (Be sure to set the UK to display in the dropdowns) Then switch to Org Settings and select the values needed. |

Hi Steven, You should just be able to set your Organisation details in the Organisation Tab (so country, county etc) then move over to the Countries Tab to set any particular details. In case you are not aware, we have some State Packs that are country specific which you can use to import all the UK counties – https://github.com/eventespresso/ee-packs-states-provinces Please note, as the UK (mine and Tony’s homeland) regularly messes about with boundaries, the UK State Pack might need some tweaking as we have had to include a few versions (postal, historical counties, etc). |
