Hi,

I have seen the problem on several other threads but not related to this plugin conflict: Upon registration I get an error message saying “First Name is a required value.” It is not due to any of the plugins metioned in the other threads, but when I deactivate Contact Form 7, all works well.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ralph,

There is no known conflict between EE4 and Contact Form 7. I also ran some tests and saw no issues.

The error you describe is generally down to either broken JavaScript or a class of validation scripts.

Without seeing the site it’s difficult to confirm, but I would check your browser console (right click, inspect element, then click the console tab) and see fi there are any errors or warnings there.

Thx for your quick response.

The weird thing is, everything works when CF7 is deactivated, and when it’s activated the input fields are not stored, but the console shows no errors or warnings. What else cab I try?

Looking a bit better, I now do see an error in the console:
“Uncaught TypeError: this.ajaxForm is not a function” in scripts.js?ver=4.2.1:14 Uncaught TypeError: this.ajaxForm is not a function line 14.

Am I correct in understanding that EE4 uses Contact Form 7? And is it then possible that it conflicts because I also have the plugin installed myself?

My site, by the way, is http://www.ngiz.nl/

Thx
