We’re having issues with emails (Registration Pending Payment) that have random spaces in it. This results in, apart from strange words, styling code directly in the emails.
e.g. <h1> becomes <h 1> resulting in the email displaying this text instead of a formatted H1 text.

I already did a reset on that template to verify if there were issues in the html but also the default (reset) email has this issue. The html in the message looks correct.

Hi Marijn, I’ve seen the issue that you reported as well as one where random characters are being changed to the equal sign (=) by the local email server.
Are you currently using a transactional email service such as Postmark app or Sendgrid?

Thanks for such quick reply!
At the moment I’m in the process of switching my WordPress mail to our Google Apps service (which has a smtp relay server). You have any experience with that as well?
I’m just using the instructions from WordPress

I got it working with the action hook that I mentioned.
Saves me another plugin in my WP install.
Emails are looking OK now!
