I am considering purchasing Event Espresso 3 (I need the waiting lists feature) but am looking for another feature that I am not sure EE is capable of. The price for any given event is dependent on the type of user (i.e. non-profit or for-profit) and if they want some add-ons to the event (a t-shirt, meals, lodging, etc). For instance: ? For Profit ? Non Profit (expands to show items below when selected) ? T-shirt (+ $10) Total: $50 BOOK NOW » |
Hi Gigi,
Can I ask what is it you need from the Wait list feature? Whilst EE3 can add items such as T-Shirts etc using the Price Modifier Add-on to modify the price of the event, it does not offer a create deal of flexibility. The modifiers are basically questions you add to the registration form, EE3 will use the values assigned to these questions to add/subtract the values from the total. You can also create multiple ticket types within a single event, then use Multi Event Registration to allow the user to add the event to a ‘cart’ system and select multiple tickets (Admission, T-Shirt etc) although this has its own problems in that each different ticket type will require personal information be filled in for that ticket. With EE4 you can create multiple tickets within event, dividing them into individual tickets such as: Non-Profit – Individual ($50) The user can select any tickets they needs and only be required to into registration information once. However the tickets would not be conditional, as in selecting a specific ticket allows you to chose from another ticket. |

Hi, In EE3 there are 3 addons that *might* help achieve what you are after. The first is WP User Integration (members). This allows you to set a different price for logged in members vs logged out users. The second is the S2Members Integration (beta). This works with S2Member and WP User integration to set the level at which the discount is applied, so instead of all members, only members with level 2 or higher accounts for instance. The Third is Price Modifier (beta). This allows you to modify a ticket price based upon the answer to a question (e.g. Would you like a T-shirt? +$10). This does not work with Multiple event Registration addon. As you may have realised, this doesn’t answer your needs 100%, as it still cannot specify between different roles. For that you would have to get some custom development done as it isn’t something we cover. |
