September 30, 2014 at 10:13 am sorry. I just want to follow up on this closed thread I want to make sure that this is the best work around. It will be extra work for us to duplicate an event and make it private, because we would also have to adjust our public inventory each time. then I think EE3 had an addon to show different tickets to Logged In users? Something like that could work for us too. Or is there another way? thanks again |

September 30, 2014 at 10:42 am Hi, Another option is to hide certain ticket options using CSS (will only apply on the single event page). However, you would need to do this for each event. Could you provide a link to an event so we can share an example? — |

September 30, 2014 at 10:45 am I could do that, but a web savvy person could just unhide it and use it, right? |

September 30, 2014 at 10:50 am They would need to use something like Firebug or Chrome Developer Tools. However, unless they are aware of those extra tickets, then the ticket selector won’t appear out of place (no odd spacing). — |

September 30, 2014 at 11:35 am This is true, but I don’t want to rely on that. I’m looking now at the Invoice option, and hiding that with CSS, because at least that way a receipt isn’t sent. It would say “pending payment.” Then we can manually process that as a cash sale… Though I do wonder if there is a better way. |

September 30, 2014 at 11:49 am I see now that I can register them from the admin panel. This will be best for us. No need to hide the invoice option. Thanks for your help |

September 30, 2014 at 11:53 am Hi, Will you be going with the original plan to create a private event? — |
|
September 30, 2014 at 12:39 pm No. We’ll only offer payment by credit card (no CSS hiding). For comp sales, we’ll register them via the admin panel, call it as Cash sale or something, and then sort those out as comps in our reporting. Maybe use some kind of flag like a particular email address to filter real cash sales from comp sales. |

Thanks for sharing! — |
