Checkout problems since updating to 4.9.39

Hi,

Our customers can’t go top step 2 in booking since updating to 4.9.39.
They get a page with no more info than the H1 in the <div class=”post”>.

Sometimes I got the message:
“We’re sorry but your request failed to pass a security check.
Please click the back button on your browser and try again.”

Hi Jakob,

Can you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Admin Options.

Look for ‘Encode Session Data?’, is that set to Yes? If so change it to No and save the settings.

Next check Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Reg form settings.

Make sure ‘Encrypt Bot Trap Data’ is set to No and save.

Then test another registration, does it work then?

Hi,
Encode Session Data: Allready set to No.
Encrypt Bot Trap Data: Changed to No.

Hi Jakob,

I checked your webpage and the Ticket Selector form is missing some inputs, including the tkt-slctr-request-processor-token input. Has the Ticket Selector functions or templates been customized on your site? If so the customizations will need to be either removed or updated so the ticket selector will have all of the inputs it needs to correctly submit the form.

Not what I know about. Were do I find the ticket selector template? Is it enough to delete it to try and see what happens?

I’d need more information about how your site was customized to be able to answer your questions. Was there a developer tasked with making customizations? They would likely know how to remove the customizations.

I don’t think we have done any customization. The only thing I could think about is the css (then I think it’s in the main theme and not in EE4). Otherwise it should be in the “Show more +” shown by the ticket selector.

But there is nothing in this folder:
wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates

Also there is no folder with the name plugins/event-espresso/templates or wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/templates

My language file in /wordpress/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages isn’t updated for very long (2016-01-12). Could that be a problem?

The language file would not remove some of the ticket selector inputs. A file in the active WordPress theme or in a plugin that was added to customize the ticket selector template could though. If you temporarily switch to another WordPress theme does the checkout problem go away?

You can use the
theme test drive plugin to test another theme while leaving your theme activated for everyone else.
