Hello
We have the latest EE3. We are looking at moving web hosts to WP Engine and have used the WP Engine automatic migration tool (which makes a copy of the site files) and created a staging site. All seems to work well, except that after you click “Add to cart” the cart page ends up being blank. We have checked and saved the critical pages and gone to settings-permalinks and saved. Hoping you can help.
The cart is not actually working at all and you can tell by clicking to add a ticket to the cart and then going back to the event list, it shows ‘Add to cart’ for the ticket again what should now be ‘View cart’.
Does it work when you are logged into the site?
The first thing you’ll need to do with WP Enginge is disable the server side caching they have on all pages, you need to open a ticket with them and request that each of the slugs for the EE3 critical pages are excluded from caching.
However, your page slugs will be different so you’ll need to check them. For example, your checkout page slug isn’t using the default of /event-registration/ but uses /seminar-registration/. Check the slugs of each of the EE3 critical pages and open a ticket with WPEngine requesting the exclude them all.
We have a page specifically for setting up WPEngine here:
However, not that it is aimed more at EE4, you don’t need to enable WP Heartbeat with EE3.
