How do you set up the shopping cart? I set up all of the basic settings for Multiple Event Registration, created a few events and tried to walk through an actual registration. When I click on a register button or “view cart” for either of the courses nothing happens. It continues to display the 2 sample items registration page. I disabled all other plugins. Not sure what I am missing here. I tried to request more documentation on the cart setup but the following forms error-ed out. |
Hi Jenn, The forums are the best place to ask for help when something isn’t working. In this case, it looks looks like the shortcodes are not set up correctly. Can you check the shortcode on http://herbdeanmmarefereecamp.com/mma-referee-camp/registration/ and make sure that it has the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on it? If it doesn’t, that’s what needs to be there. If it does have the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode, then you could un-nesting the registration page from below the mma-referee-camp page and make it a top level page. |

I have two types of events that I will be selling. 1 – Certification courses I need to separate which events display on two different pages. [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”camp”] is on the registration page in the “certification training” section. [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”tournament”] is on the Indiana state finals in the “Tournament” section Is there a better way to separate the events? When I added [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] in addition to the category short code I get the tournament event on the certification course page and then the certification courses are listed twice. I tested different combinations the cart still does not work by adding the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] with or without removing the category short code |

@Josh – only [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] is here now http://herbdeanmmarefereecamp.com/mma-referee-camp/registration/ |
Hi Jenn, It doesn’t work to put the event category shortcode and the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on the same page. They serve two different purposes: the category/list shortcode displays lists of events, and the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode handles everything from registration to payment. You can set up the other pages with the category event list shortcode to display lists of events, but there still needs to be a separate main registration page. You can hide the main registration page from the site’s navigation menu and use the other two pages to keep your event groups separate. The important thing to know is the main registration page as set in Event Espresso>General Settings must have the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on it. I hope this helps! |

I want to test registration and use a 100% discount coupon. The promo code is not working. I found this other post (https://eventespresso.com/topic/promo-code-field-not-working/#post-18236) stating that promo codes are removed from MER. Is that correct? |

ooops I meant for that last post to be a new ticket since the cart issue is resolved. |
