Due to Covid lock-down etc, we regularly need to postpone our events but have found that anything already sold out cannot be saved as postponed – they remain saved as sold out.
The problem with this is the event notifications are sent out which confuses people as we have just written to them to confirm postponement of their event.
After you edit the Event’s status to “Postponed”, a “Save Postponed” button will appear. You’ll click that button and the postponed status will be saved.
The event should save as Postponed as long as the “Publish” button isn’t clicked. The event editor page will look like the screenshot below after the sold out event is changed to “Postponed” status.
If the “Publish” button is clicked though, the sold out status check will run and the event status will switch back to Sold Out.
