How can I cancel a registration after payment is already received within Event Espresso? The individual may have something come up: sickness, death in family, etc., I realize the refund would be handled by paypal, but how do I “unregister” them once that’s done? Thank you. P.S. I am running the personal license of EE4
‘Approved’ registrations count towards the attendee limits for you events, any registration can be cancelled by editing the Event, click on the Approved registrations link – http://take.ms/X4SNu
Find the Attendee within the list and edit that attendee’s registration – http://take.ms/sgnwL
However the Transaction will also need to be refunded so click ‘View Transaction – http://take.ms/1xqnM
Notice the transaction status is complete, click apply refund, fill in the relevant data and apply the refund. You can actually skip the first step and do all of the refund from within the transactions menu – http://take.ms/CZbxS
Notice the Registration status can be changed from that popup. EE separating them out allows for much more flexibility.
You will still need to apply the refund itself through Paypal as mentioned.
I’ve tried following your instructions but when I go to view the transaction there is nothing on the screen to click on that says “apply refund”. The registration shows paid but cancelled. then I click on the “View Transaction” button as illustrated but when I get there, there is no refund button available.
