Hi,

My client owns a keg rental business and would like to accomplish the following:

– Have users visit the site and select a date and time for a keg rental.
– Payment would be done online and a flat fee would be charged for deliveries over 30 miles. If under 30 miles delivery would be free.
– Users options would be to add a bartender for an extra fee, 6 kegs to choose from, 3 daiquiri machines (2 flavor options).
– The order page needs a day by day calendar to show availability. If a day is sold out it should be indicated on the calendar.
– It then needs the options of what to order and what quantities. For the Kegs there are only 6 available, so no more than 6 of any combination can be booked on one day. For the Daiquiri machines there is only 3 available, so no more than 3 of any combination can be booked.

Is this possible with event espresso?

– Not on WP yet.
– No version of EE being used currently.
– Would be a new install.
– No registration page.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.

– Have users visit the site and select a date and time for a keg rental.

Shouldn’t be a problem, both EE3 and EE4 support this.

– Payment would be done online and a flat fee would be charged for deliveries over 30 miles. If under 30 miles delivery would be free.

In EE3 there is a beta addon called Price Modifier that could be used to do this via the Questions. However there is no system in place to determine if the user is over 30 miles away.

In EE4 you would need to create seperate tickets, e.g. Rental under 30 miles, Rental over 30 miles, Rental under 30 miles with bartender, etc.

– Users options would be to add a bartender for an extra fee, 6 kegs to choose from, 3 daiquiri machines (2 flavor options).

Same as above.

– The order page needs a day by day calendar to show availability. If a day is sold out it should be indicated on the calendar.

Both versions have a calendar system available (separate plugin).

– It then needs the options of what to order and what quantities. For the Kegs there are only 6 available, so no more than 6 of any combination can be booked on one day. For the Daiquiri machines there is only 3 available, so no more than 3 of any combination can be booked.

This isn’t a problem for the kegs, simply set the event or ticket (EE4) capacity to 6.

The price modifier addon can also limit the capacity.

While EE does seem to tick most of the boxes, I would strongly suggest checking out EE3 Lite (https://eventespresso.com/event-espresso-lite-preview/) and our test drive of EE4 (http://demoee.org) so that you can get a better idea about whether it really is suitable for your use case.

Dean,

Thanks for your reply. What would the cost of the additional plugins be to extend some of the functionality on top of the base Event Espresso cost?

Hi,

Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean: do you mean how much are the addon plugins or what is our rate for customisation work?

If you could provide estimates for both that would be immensely helpful. Cost if we were to use the add-on plugins and cost for your team to customize Event Espresso to meet client’s requirements and business model.

Hi,

Event Espresso 4 and the calendar should be be able to meet your requirements. That cost for the support license would be $79.90.

Please contact our sales team privately to request a quote on customizations:
