Calendar not showing – Adding JS in content

My espresso calendar is not showing up, when using the shortcode. I’ve tried wrapping it in [raw]-tags and deactivating other plugins with no luck. There are no conflicts from other jquery functions on the site as reported by Webdeveloper.

The calendar is apparently loading it’s jquery function inside the content div like this:
<div class="entry-content">
<script type="text/javascript">

jQuery(document).ready(function($) {

var ee_total_images = 0;

$('#espresso_calendar').fullCalendar({

Am I missing something obvious here? I have not touched any of the plugin files for events-calendar.

Thanks.

I’m having the same issue. Doesn’t appear to be plugin or theme related. Was working fine and suddenly quit working. http://www.singlemomzrock.com/upcoming-events/

Hi Stian,

My Norwegian is a bit rubbish so any chance you could provide a link tot he calendar page so I can take a closer look please?

@josh Veach, Well there are no jQuery errors, but the content is just blank on the page you have linked to. Can you check the page to make sure the calendar shortcode is correct? Can you also check the Calendar Settings page and if all looks good just re-save the settings.

Let me know if that affects anything, if not I may need login details.

@dean

I’m sorry if my English was a bit off there, it was late at night. I don’t want to post the link here for SEO reasons, how can I send you a private message? : )

You can send it to support@eventespresso.com, please include a link to this forum post.

Thanks for the details.

OK, so the issue is a Javascript error. It looks like you have amended the “Header Style” setting in the Calendar Settings page to remove the buttons, but the javascript does not like this.

You can make the calendar function by changing the text in that option to:

Kalendar: ”

However, you may not get the desired result (which I assume is to remove those buttons?).

If you change the content of that option to:

left: ”, center: ”, right: ”

It will display the calendar with no header buttons, though obviously the user cannot now change month/week/day.

Whaat, I have no idea how that got into the header style. It is removed now, but the calendar is still glimmering in its absence

I get a syntax error in Webdeveloper though:

Timestamp: 08.11.2013 13:39:55
Error: SyntaxError: syntax error

Line: 346, Column: 12

Hey,

There’s another javascript error, but I cant see what is exactly causing it.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level and FTP details are appreciated.

Wait I might see it, it looks like the height hasn’t been set. Can you check that in the Calendar Settings? If needed there is an option at the bottom to reset to the default settings.

Resetting calendar settings did the trick! Thanks Dean, you’re a legend!

@dean, thanks for the reply. I have tried both [raw][ESPRESSO_CALENDAR][/raw] (was originally working) and [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR], neither are working. On the backend the content isn’t blank, that’s what is confusing. I’m emailing in login credentials.

@Stian, no problem, glad it’s working now!

@josh,

I cant see anything wrong, but the content just isn’t appearing, even basic text. As such I would suggest troubleshoot the site, first by swapping to a default them such as TwentyTwelve.

Basic text appears when the short code is removed. Have already tried other theme. Calendar was working fine and quit with no changes?

Hi Dean, is there anything else you can suggest or any other help you can provide? If I can’t get this resolved I’ll be back at square one searching for a different plugin, which I don’t want to do since I’ve invested in this one. Thanks

Just now started working again randomly… I’m at a loss. Hope it stays!
