Can someone explain to me the format of the event titles on the calendar? I’m trying to figure out why they are suddenly duplicating? For example, EventTitle : EventTitle

http://lauritawinery.com/
WordPress version 4.1
Event Espresso Version 4.4.8.p
Event Espresso – Calendar (EE 4.3+) Version 3.2.1.p

Hi Jason, have there been any edits to the core plugin or the calendar?

I’m unable to duplicate this issue on the current software:

Also, could you share the calendar shortcode that is in use?

Thank you for your quick reply!

I have not edited any core files or calendar files. The short code is:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=”true”]

Did you see what’s happening on my site? It’s not EVERY event.

So random!

Hi Jason, could you create an event called test or test event in January and then update this support post?

We’re trying to pinpoint where this is coming from.

Thanks.

Lorenzo

I created an event called Test4EESupport and it was fine. But then I went and created another event called T4EES-2, and it too was fine. But then I created T4EES-3 and this time entered a value in the “Event Datetimes Name” field called “Test”… and that’s what appeared after the colon on the calendar.

So now we know where it’s coming from!

I guess that poses a question then… what is having multiple “Event Datetimes” for?

Wait… that might not be it. I just edited the Ben Weiner event and saw that no value had been entered into that “name” field in the “event datetime” section.

The only thing I did was add a number to the available number of tickets.

That HAS TO BE it… I just don’t understand how an event without that filled in is deciding to use the event title on its own.

Sorry for all the posts, I’m just loosing my mind over this.

That is it… I’m just not thinking clearly…

When I’d edited one of the events in the backend, I’d chosen one in the future (one that did NOT have a named event datetime). When I edited the event that did, I saw it did have a named datetime. Once I removed that, it went away.

Hi, there are some screenshots here that show how the multiple date and times feature works:

https://eventespresso.com/features/multiple-dates-times-per-event/

Its helpful when you are wanting to provide a single ticket option that allows access to multiple datetimes (sessions).
