Bulk send emails to people assigned to events

Hi,

I need to be able to bulk send emails to people assigned to events, based on their type for the event in question. Is this possible?

Hi Nick,

You can use the batch email option which is available on the registrations overview screen when viewing registrations for an event.

Go to Event Espresso –> Events. Now hover over the name of an event and click on Registrations.

On the next page look for Screen Options in the top right area and click on it. Then adjust pagination from 10 to a larger number like 100 and then save changes.

Now the page will refresh and you’ll see more registrants. You can select all and then scroll to the end of the page and click on the Send Batch Message.

Then enter your message in the modal window and then send.

If you will be sending out large amounts of emails, then I recommend using a transactional email service so those are not marked as spam or junk mail:

I am talking about the People Add On and sending bulk email notifications to staff with particular roles.

Those kinds of notifications are not currently available.

Ah, OK – please put in a request for this feature, as this is pretty much the only use I would have for the People Add On.

Is it then possible to register people onto an event using an admin only free rate for staff and then sending a bulk email to just these people, somehow filtering the registrations to just include these people?

Hi Nick,

There isn’t an admin override available that will zero out the cost of a ticket.

Here is a workaround on handling this:

You could then select those registrants from the registrations overview screen and then send a batch notification. You’ll be able to identify then because their ticket will show Admin only in the ticket name column of the registrations overview screen.

OK, thanks Lorenzo. Yes, I can search the registrations by, let’s say ‘Admin Only – Volunteer’, which will filter out any other tickets, and then send a batch message.

Hi Nick, that will work.

After searching, just bulk select those registrants and then use the batch email option at the end of the registrations overview page.
