Hi,
I am considering using Event Espresso for an events site I am creating. In this site:
– Any visitor will be able to set up a profile, list events and sell them on the site
– Our platform will take a commission from the sale of any event, and the rest will be passed to the person setting up the event
I want to add some affiliate functionality to this site:
– Any visitor can sign up as an affiliate and can pick individual events to promote. If someone clicks through their affiliate link, and makes a purchase for an event space, then this affiliate earns a commission payment. (Additional functionality perhaps, a visitor can get a general affiliate link for the site, not specific to any one event, and if someone purchases any event, the affiliate can get a commission)
DO you have any recommendations on what affiliate plugin works well with event espresso and could suit my requirements? Is there any other advice you could offer with regards to what kind plugins/modifications might be needed?

Hello Tariq,
I believe we are adding basic affiliate support into 4.0 or possible 4.1 of Event Espresso.
As that hasnt formally been released yet and will be in “de-caffineited” mode (no add on plugins) for a while, you may wish to look at integrating the system into 3.1.X
I am aware that we have integrated basic support with an helper function for WP Affiliate.
Note that it isn’t full integration.
You could use alternative systems, but anything you use will likely need some custom work to integrate successfully.
Please note that any commissions from sales (not affiliate based) will have to be resolved manually or via a third party plugin, at this time Event Espresso does not handle commissions.
