How do you backup and restore questions in EE4? We have reasons for wanting to clean slate the EE4 data, but we want to keep the Questions. We especially want to remove the transactions and registrations — specifically without alerting the registrants as this was last year’s event that we are removing. Thanks for your help! |
Hi, You should be able to complete this task in under a minute. Login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Event Espresso –> Events. Then hover over the name of the event and click on Registration. The next page will show you all registrations for this event. Click on the bulk checkbox to select all and then click on the bulk actions dropdown and select trash registrations: http://cl.ly/image/3u0i1d1F3Y2d This will move these registrations to the trash. You may need to do this multiple times if there are many registrations for this event. At this point, you can leave them in the trash or click on Trash link on the same page and then permanently delete them. This process will not notify any of the registrants. — |

Unfortunately I am receiving an error message for each registration (I’ve set it to display 100 at a time, there were 1200 total, so you can imagine how this clogs the screen). here’s the Error message I get on each registrant I’ve attempted to “trash” — >>> The following errors have occurred: |
Alright, we can clear those payments first. Do you have multiple events ongoing or was this something like an annual event? If this is an annual event that has already passed, then login to your database with a tool like PHPMyAdmin or Adminer. Then backup your database. Next, go to wp_esp_payments. This table can be emptied (drop existing rows of information). This will clear all payments and allow you to remove those registrations. — |

Thank you, Lorenzo. I was able to drop those rows and then push the registrations to Trash. (in other words: it worked) |
Thanks for confirming! I just shared feedback on your other question here: https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-firstdata-2/#post-124624 — |

I’m trying to get better about circling back for “closure” on my posts. =) Thanks again for your help! |
