We’re using the pre-release Automated Email plugin to send a message to all event participants 7 days before their scheduled event. On the Admin version, we want to edit the Admin email to include: 1. We see that we can include Event details and Attendee list from the shortcodes (currently showing Name, Email, Phone), but is it possible to also grab company name from their registration? 2. We want a copy of this 7-day reminder email to go to the instructor for the class. We see that we can set Event Author = Instructor and make it work that way, but is there a way to keep Event Author as owner, and copy the email to an Instructor added through a Custom Field or “Event Organizer” label of some kind instead? Thanks. |

Hi there,
Just to note, the add-on has been released and is no longer on the pre-release channel: https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-automated-upcoming-event-notifications/ There have been a couple of fixes released for the add-on since pre-release, the next update (to be released soon) removes the requirement for events to be updated after the add-on has been activated in order for the notifications to trigger so I recommend updating to the latest version.
Assuming you are using the For example if your question text is ‘Company Name?’ your shortcode would be Is that what you are looking for?
Not currently no, the messages system does not include a shortcode you can use to pull a custom field from an event. It would be possible to do but will need a custom shortcode, if you are comfortable with PHP and it’s something you would like to add we have some details on how to add your shortcodes here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-how-to-add-custom-message-shortcodes/ |
