Hello,

I have a client in need of a plugin to help manage a conference she runs twice a year. I think your plugin will likely due the trick, but before we purchase, we have a couple questions.

How does the system handle registration from an attendee who registered for a previous event? When they register for the new event, do they have to put in all their contact information again, or will it remember them?

I see there is a quick registration option for at the show. Same question as above. Will it find them in the system so they don’t have to enter contact info again?

When attendees show up at conference, is there an easy search method to confirm they registered?

Can we print attendee badges?

TIA,
Mitch

Hi Mitch,

Thanks for considering Event Espresso.

“When they register for the new event, do they have to put in all their contact information again, or will it remember them?”

By default they would need to enter it again. However, if they are registered with the site as users and you have the Wp User Integration (members) add on installed it will pre fill some of the registration details (only the basics, not custom questions).

People registering are not automatically added as users but have made a PHP script that can be dropped into your sites code to allow this.

“I see there is a quick registration option for at the show.”

If you are referring to registering someone via the admin area then no it doesnt add in the data.

“When attendees show up at conference, is there an easy search method to confirm they registered?”

You can use the Ticketing addon which allows you to use the iPad, iPhone or Android phone apps to search for attendees and manually check in (iPad only) or scan the QR code on the ticket to scan them in.

“Can we print attendee badges?”

The Ticketing Add on comes with 3 ticket templates that contain badge sized area that can be cut out and used within badge holders or be laminated.

Let me know if you need clarification about anything.

Hi Dean. I’ve been playing around with the test site. Where do I see the onsite event management options. Like when our staff confirms someone is registered. Do they have to go into WP admin to do that?
Thanks

Hi Mitch,

That’s correct, it’s in the WP admin. If you go to the Event Overview you can drill down into a specific event and look at the registration records for that event.
