I have this exact problem and it doesn’t look like it was ever resolved. EE4 is integrated into my theme (see fpacctrademission.com). When no ticket quantity is selected, clicking the Register button simply reloads the page. After that, when you select a ticket quantity, the next page displays the error message saying you need to select a ticket quantity.
It looks like there is going to be a little more work to integrate EE4 into the homepage of your theme. The necessary scripts aren’t loading there. You’ll find that there are no issues if you use the ticket selectors from the single event Custom post type posts like this one:
Thanks Josh. I actually like the look of the iframe better. The app behaves a little better too. Now when I do not select a quantity and press “Register” it does nothing. If I could get an error message now, it would be perfect.
I’m sorry, the error notices are not available when using the ticket selected iframe embed code.
