I too am having this problem. |
Hi Joe, we have seen this issue occurring when caching is running on a site. Are you using a web hosting that has a built in caching option or do you have a caching plugin running? If so, you’ll need to request no-cache rules / exclusion rules setup for Event Espresso pages. Unfortunately, Event Espresso will not work as expected until these have been set up. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/ — |

I have disabled WP Super Cache and have no other caching turned on and continue to have the same error. The site worked beautifully until all the tickets became available for purchase. Do you have any other suggestions? I need to be selling tickets for this event. |
Hi Joe, turning off WP Super Cache as in deactivating the plugin doesn’t completely disable caching which is set at the WordPress level. Are exclusion / no-cache rules setup for the Event Espresso pages? You can use a caching plugin with Event Espresso but those will need to be setup so caching runs on all areas of your site except for the Event Espresso pages. If you are wanting to disable caching, then you would need to first turn off caching in WP Super Cache and save changes. Then you can turn off the plugin by deactivating it via WordPress Plugins. — |

I have tried all that you’ve mentioned. I am not a programmer but rather a novice but believe I’ve found my way around the suggested solutions. Thanks for your help |
Hi, custom programming isn’t needed to setup those no cache rules. They can be done through the WP dashboard. How did you resolve the issue? — |
|
|
I will be more clear. I’ve completed the steps you suggested from disabling then deactivating WP Super Cache, added the no-cache rules to super cache and am still receiving the same error. I have no resolution at this point and have the site in maintenance mode. |
Alright, I suspect that some old caching files are still in place and are not clearing. I double-checked the past 3 reports for the error that you are experiencing and each was related to caching. Could you you send an SFTP / FTP login and a temporary WP-admin login through this link? https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ — |

Hi Joe, It turns out that the WP Auctions plugin is doing something that removes all of Event Espresso’s scripts from the registration page. You’ll find that with the WP Auctions plugin deactivated, the registration will work as expected. |
