Hi – last year we used event espresso with paypal for our conference and it was a nightmare as most people wanted to sign up with AMEX and we ended up having to manually process all registrations through paypal and AMEX’s virtual terminal. Which of your compatible merchant processors will allow us to process AMEX directly through the Event Espresso registration page without additional manual processing?

Braintree
Authorizenet
Stripe
PayPal Pro (has a monthly fee)

Hi Lorenzo – we used PayPal Pro last year, but we had to process each transaction manually through their Virtual Terminal. I was looking for one that was fully integrated – just like paying with Mastercard or Visa.

Hi Sarah,
PayPal Pro does support American Express as regular online payments. You may need to accept a different billing agreement so that is enabled. PayPal support will be able to review your account with you.
Another option is to switch to another payment service like Braintree:
