We are running WP 4.2 with EE 4.6.29.p. We have two admins and I was the first admin setup (in case that matters). Our 2nd Admin should be receiving all emails pertaining to anything regarding registrations, payments, etc., etc., so basically everything. 1) How do I make sure she gets all emails and 2) We just had our first registrant this year and a Registration Confirmation email went out showing it was From: My Name – My email

but it should say the other admin, how do I have the emails coming from her?

Also, is EE 4.6.29p still only offer the capability to send emails to the primary registrant? Can emails be sent to others as well (in the case of multiple registrants and a billing contact?)

Also, is there a way to keep me from getting them? I’m basically the web developer and once the site is live I don’t need to see 300+ emails from registrants. Thanks!

Hi Sue, by default, the event author will receive notifications for an event that they created.

You can have Event Espresso send this to the email that is set in the general settings area of Event Espresso by updating the TO field for the event admin context for each message type. Here is a quick video of the change:

Also double-check that the FROM field is set to the same email shortcode for the event admin. If its set to your email, then you’ll want to update it as well.

Along with that, I recommend setting a transactional email service. They are helpful for ensuring that emails arrive to the inbox instead of a spam filter:

Where do I “Also double-check that the FROM field is set to the same email shortcode for the event admin. If its set to your email, then you’ll want to update it as well.”?

Hi Sue,

Under Messages, for each Message type, you will see a dropdown in the “Edit Message Templates” tab. Make sure the FROM field has the same email shortcode for the event admin there.

Do I need to do this for EVENT ADMIN AND PRIMARY REGISTRANT? AND the only code I see available for FROM field is [SITE_ADMIN_EMAIL] – is that the one I need to use?

Hi Sue,

Yes. You can use that one. However, if you don’t want to receive the emails, you will need to set the email address in General Settings of your WordPress dashboard to the 2nd admin’s email address.

Does that help? 🙂

Already had her email set in General setting and I still got them. I’m still a bit confused. Do I need to change the from field for each message and also for each item in dropdown? ie., EVENT ADMIN AND PRIMARY REGISTRANT?

Using [SITE_ADMIN_EMAIL] it shows the email is from WordPress – am I using the wrong option here?

Hi, were you able to view the screencast that I shared earlier?

http://cl.ly/2h0C1R0p3N13

Switch the [SITE_ADMIN_EMAIL] for the FROM area of a message type to this shortcode:

[CO_FORMATTED_EMAIL]

These changes should only be made to the event admin context.

Also, here is a quick overview of the email-address related shortcodes:

[SITE_ADMIN_EMAIL] – Email address that is set for the WordPress site

[EVENT_AUTHOR_FORMATTED_EMAIL] – Name of event author along with email address

[EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL] – only the email address for the event author

[CO_FORMATTED_EMAIL] – Name of the organization along with email address. This information is from the general settings page of Event Espresso.

[CO_EMAIL] – only the email address for the organization

[ESPRESSO_ADMIN_FORMATTED_EMAIL] – same as [CO_FORMATTED_EMAIL]

[ESPRESSO_ADMIN_EMAIL] – same as [CO_EMAIL]
