AJAX key value pairs/price_id

Hi there,
This is probably really simple, but I can’t seem to locate this in the documentation. What is the syntax for sending an AJAX request with the price id? Let’s say for event id 9, I want to add to cart price id 1, what’s the data object supposed to look like for that?

is it:
price_id: array(Event_id:price_id)? That seems to be what the code says, but I can’t make that work!

What exactyl are you trying to achieve and where (cart etc)?
