Hi,

You can capture the error message by activating WP_DEBUG mode, which will log the error to help show what needs to be fixed on your site. Here’s a link to some documentation that shows how to activate WP_DEBUG:

Hi, I try to capture the error message by activating WP_DEBUG mode, but there are no errors in the debug.log in wp-content….

Furthermore I have some Problems with my EE4 Key ….
Following error in WordPress:
It appears you’ve tried entering an api key to upgrade to the premium version of Event Espresso 4 Decaf, however, the key does not appear to be valid. This is the message received back from the server:

An automatic update for Event Espresso 4 Decaf is available but your Support License Key is invalid. Either you have entered the wrong key on the Event Espresso General Settings page (EE3+ users) or Your Organization Settings page (EE4+ users) OR you no longer have access to the updates for this plugin. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.

Can this be the reason for my error?

In wordpress/Event Espresso/Settings is a red key behind my key.
On the Event Espresso Site behind the key Active on: alwart-team.de…
thats right….

perhaps you have an idea?

I try to capture the error message by activating WP_DEBUG mode, but there are no errors in the debug.log in wp-content….

Did you add all of the code Josh recommended?

Try with just this:

// Enable WP_DEBUG mode
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

So all of this is removed:

if ( WP_DEBUG ) {
        @ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );
        define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
        define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
}

Then trigger the error 500 again, what does it show?

Can this be the reason for my error?

The license key has no effect on Event Espresso, it will without any license key set so its unlikely the cause of the problem.

Your current user account (the one you are postin here with) does not have an active support license, which is why you are getting the above error. Licenses are valid for 12months from the date of purchase, so have you purchased/renewed a license in the last 12months?
