Admin registration confirmation email not sent

We have multiple events setup, and for one of them we never receive any admin confirmation emails.

We have checked the event settings against another event which does send the emails, and nothing is different.

There are mo errors found in the Espresso or WP logs.

Can you advise?

Hi,

Have you checked your spam folder in your email account? It would be highly unusual for one events emails to fail but not the rest, it is possible that that particular email’s subject line is flagging spam protection filters.

Hi Dean,

Both myself and our client (using different email addresses & domains) have checked our SPAM folders and it isn’t in there.

I agree that is it strange that other events work and not this one.

So BOTH the admin email and the clients registration email are failing? Or just the admin email?

Both the client and admin emails are failing, but if I manually send a payment confirmation email they get that.

I just added in a brand new event and confirmation emails are not being sent for that either.

I can confirm by looking in the servers mail queue that WordPress isn’t even generating any automated confirmation emails.

Nothing has changed in WordPress or the server.

Is there any line of code we can add somewhere to check if event espresso is actually sending the emails?

Honestly not sure about that it would need referring to a developer who are offline currently.

Generally though, if manual emails are going out it shouldnt be Event Espresso per se as manual and auto emails use the same process.

Nothing has changed in WordPress or the server.

Regarding the server, do you have full control over it? If not it is possible the host may have changed something.

Have you tried using an SMTP plugin, such as this http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ ?

If that fails there is also the possibility of using a service such as Mandrill or PostMark, as we have had a lot of users find success with these services

Or I could just be an idiot!

It only sends an email when payment has come through, or if you choose to send confirmations before payment is received.

It won’t send an email if they only download the PDF invoice.

I think I have answered my own questions, sorry to waste your time.
