Hello, For some reason, admin is receiving following email twice when there is a registration for a event: How to fix it? |
|
Hi Jake, Can you please let us know if the email was received by the attendee twice or just generated twice under EE > Messages? Please confirm that and share a screenshot of the email generated under EE > Messages. Looking forward to helping you. |

That looks like a modified Registration Approved message. Ok, so first step is to edit the Event that email relates to. ‘Cassettes – Fri morn – Ocean Shores’ Look in the ‘Notifications’ section and find the Registration Approved message type. Is it ‘global’ or a custom template? In either case, click the edit button for the event admin row. Check the To, CC and From address fields, do they make sense for the context the message is using? (Registrant email going to shortcodes using the Registrant address etc) https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-working-with-message-contexts/ If unsure I can take a look if you send over temp login details using this form: |

I have filled form. Could you please update? |

Thank you, so I’ve checked over your message templates and those are all set up correctly. This is happening for every registration? Looking within the EE message activity log for the registrations you sent screenshots over for, there are no duplicates listed (or for any registration). That means if the admin receives duplicate emails it is likely happening after EE has passed the email over to your mailserver. Using the first as an example, Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activity: https://monosnap.com/file/pZwEUzpA9TyeGx3IEOqBaBhCDrTnVw I’ve blurred the details but those are the only messages related to that Transaction/Registration. One way you can confirm this is by going to Event Espresso -> Transactions. The transaction ID for the first one in the screenshots is 4372 so find that row in the list and then click on the icon, EE will list all of the messages triggered for that transaction. No duplicates listed (same for the second registration). — From here I recommend installing the WP Mail Logging plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/ That logs the email headers when generated which may show some additional details for this. |
