Admin not receiving Registration Emails

The email address set in the EE General Settings, which is also the same email address set in the WP General Settings, is not receiving the confirmation email when someone registers on the site. They do however receive the cancellation emails.

I’m using the Easy SMTP Mail plugin to handle the emails for this site and everything else works well — forms, password reset emails, event cancellation emails, etc.

Hi Trevis,

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Email Settings.

Is the option ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’ set to No?

If so could you set that to Yes and then test a registration to see if the email is then sent.

It was set to no, so I switched it to yes but, still no confirmation sent to admin. They do get sent to the registrant though, regardless of that setting.

Hello,

Could you install and activate this plugin and then complete a registration:

http://wordpress.org/plugins/email-log/

Then please check the log to see if an email is sent out.

Hi Lorenzo-

Installed the plugin and then registered for an event and it looks like the email confirmation was sent to the designated email address. So strange…

Thank you for testing with that plugin. Could you ask the recipient to check their spam or junk mail folder?

If the email is there, then please consider using a service like MailChimp’s Mandrill or Postmark App:

Hasn’t been making it to the junk folder either but, I tested using my Gmail address and it worked. What I don’t really understand is why the cancellation notifications make it, but not the registration…

Yes, you should deactivate that plugin.

Cool, thanks again Lorenzo. If this doesn’t work, I’ll just have them use a different email address for those notifications.
