I had 3 reservations that were made on January 3, 2023, and as the admin I did not receive email notifications. I have gone out to the message settings, and it shows that all were sent. I checked the email address, and it is correct. If I tell it to resend it gives me an error message that “An error has occurred: |

Hi there, What message template are you referring to? What do you have as the TO for the Admin message Context? Is the Admin message context active? If you register yourself, or have other people registered, and do you get those emails? Is your website on shared server? Do you have any smtp or email plugins installed? |
|
I have always used the default email settings and the TO for Registration Approved is set to go to the Registrant and to Event Admin with my email address vgreen@firstpreskingsport.org. I have been receiving the Registration Approved emails for all of the events that we have had since we put EE4 in place. I have made no changes, and this just started on January 3, 2023, when I had 3 people register for an event in February and I didn’t receive the emails. When I went to the Message Activity section and clicked on the Registration Approved emails that were to go to me, and use Bulk Actions to Send and Apply, then I get the error message below. An error has occurred: There is an email plugin installed but it is the Event Espresso – MailChimp (EE4.4.5+). I don’t have any other email or STMP plugins that I am aware of. |

When you view the messages in the table, what colour status bar (the coloured bar next to each message) do they have? |

Green |

A green status bar means it has a status of ‘sent’, the bulk action to Generate and Send doesn’t resend a sent message. What happens if you click on the icon in the actions section? Same error? — So the problem here is that when a message shows a green status bar, it means the message generated and ‘sent’ without any errors. By sent I mean EE set up the headers, passed the email to wp_mail() which then passed it onto your server and no error were returned. Unfortunately, if the email isn’t received after that it means its outside of EE’s control, likely being flagged as spam by one of the mailservers and dropped. You mentioned the emails would go to spam previously, that’s a good indication that you sending emails without authentication. Who hosts your emails? Gmail? |

Our ISP is Spectrum, and our website is on GoDaddy. I think maybe this was a temporary issue. While typing this message, I received, in my Junk file, an Event Registration Details email. About 10 minutes ago I went into the website from the front end and registered for an event in late February and I have the appropriate email. I am also getting emails as the registrant. For now, all is good, and I want to thank you for your help! |

You’re most welcome 🙂 Any further issues just let us know. |
