Hi I was wondering if there’s an easy way to add microdata into the events? I want to add to the SEO. I know I can modify the html but just wondering what’s the best way to approach this.

Hi Julie,

Event Espresso 4 uses schema.org. What information are you trying to add?

I can see that there’s schema for address. But I was wondering if there would be an addition for the events schema items. https://schema.org/Event

Wondering if there’s an easy way to add these.

Hi Julie,

This is certainly on our to do list, so it is likely the schema markup will be filled out in the future.

Currently the only way to achieve it would be via editing the templates, and you may find it hard to drill down to the details as you will need to edit specific functions as well as the templates.

Update: Event Espresso 4.9.26.p includes a new feature that automatically embeds event data type JSON-LD markup directly into the event listings.
