Hello – are there any plans to include Rich Snippet support in future versions of EE? Rich Snippets (http://schema.org/Event) are supported by Google and display event information directly in search results (and are also thought to help with SEO.) See this search as an example – if you scroll down the results, you can see which sites are supplying Rich Snippet info as their actual events are included in the search results. Before we start any work trying to customize our templates to incorporate them I just wanted to be sure you didn’t already have something in the works.

Hi Joel,

At this time we don’t have support for Rich Snippets. We currently do not have it in our roadmap either. I will add your feature request to our feature request list for our developers to view.

You are welcome to implement this is our template files and you stated.

Let us know if we can answer anymore questions for you.

Update: Event Espresso 4.9.26.p includes a new feature that automatically embeds event data type JSON-LD markup directly into the event listings.
