i have the exact same problem and situation as the user in this thread: https://eventespresso.com/topic/add-to-cart-not-working-2/ – i have checked everything recommended and have exactly the same (unsuccessful) results as them. I notice this topic is unresolved as of ten weeks ago, and closed to new replies… what’s up with this? Seems that the topic should at least remain open until resolved? they seem to be really patient – something i cannot afford with my current client 😉 – site is up at http://205.205.214.25/lbkeducationcenter.org |
Hi Matthew, That site is currently running 3.1.34.1, I would advise to update to the current release which is 3.1.35.2, we have made some improvements with MER since 34.1 Also have you changed your Permalink recently? You could try rebuilding by going to WP Settings -> Permalinks and without making changes click the ‘Save changes’ button. Then retry the add to cart button. Regarding resolved topics. Topics will automatically resolve if no posts are made within a set amount of time, this is currently set at 14 days. |

i updated to 3.1.35.2 and no change – permalink settings have not been changed since site was set up, i updated them anyways. |

Hi, Its failing due to a javascript error, especially it cannot find the admin-ajax.php file, as it is looking for it in HTTPS You need to check if you have HTTPS in the admin or not. This thread may assist as it is closely related – https://eventespresso.com/topic/cart-total-price-does-not-update-from-0-00-with-mer/ |

Hello, Not that this helps much but we tried everything including spending several hours on the phone with the hosting company. In the end, we were forced to rebuild the website from scratch and this resolved the issue. We have no idea what was wrong or how to fix it, but we did get the Add to Cart working in the end. |
To help clarify things a bit, this is a screenshot of the error that Dean was referring to. |
