I have SSL installed on the site and the user seems to have the ability to add an item to the cart in all browsers except Internet Explorer. When I disable the SSL then it works perfectly. WordPress 3.5.1 | Event Espresso – 3.1.30.7P | https://www.lsjs.ac.uk Thanks |
Hello, What version of IE is your user trying to use? We currently only support Event Espresso on browsers 1 version behind current. In other words, we provide support on IE 9&10. |

Hi there, What is the link to the main registration page, or at least one event that uses Event Espresso for registration? What method is being used to make the page load as SSL? Are you using a plugin or is something redirecting the entire site over to https: ? |

I’m using IE9 – here is the link to an event page – http://www.lsjs.ac.uk/events/yoni-jesner-conversation/ I’m using Better WP Security for the SSL. Thanks |
Hi there, We typically recommend the WP HTTPS plugin in most cases. I checked the event page in Chrome and I couldn’t get the cart to work for me there. There is one JavaScript error on the page that should be addresses and ruled out as a culprit. It may be something related to a twitter widget either in a theme or a plugin: `Uncaught ReferenceError: twitterWidgets is not defined ` |

I have just installed WP HTTPS and I’m still getting the same issues. I have changed the settings so that admin area isn’t https and it seems to work. |
Multi Event Registration does use wp-admin ajax, so that might be why. Which of the two https plugins did you end up using where you changed the admin settings? |

Hi there, I’m having the same issue with WP – HTTP in Chrome. When the SSL is disabled (post not secure) it works beautifully. When I secure the post, the same thing. I was going to try the espresso https that I have seen recommended in other forms. Is that the right answer? |
The Espresso https plugin is an older unmaintained fork of WordPress HTTPs so I don’t think that would help in this case. There are a few cases where WordPress HTTPs isn’t recommended: 1) Your host handles https (in the case of WPEngine). In this case your host can set up the https redirect for you. 2) There is another plugin installed on the system that can handle https redirects. In this case the other plugin can be used to secure the page. |
