How do I go about that |
Hi, In case you’re not aware, Event Espresso Registrations do not necessarily have WP user accounts. Of course if you require all users to log in before they can register for an event, then they would. This isn’t something we can add for you or point you to some custom code. What you could do is contact codeable.io and they can give you a quote for adding this feature per your specifications. |

No one got the solution to it also |
As Josh mentioned above, an EE ‘registrant’/’attendee’, is not a ‘user’. An attendee doesn’t have a role so EE wouldn’t add the above functionality to that page. An attendee can be ‘linked‘ (have a relationship to) to a WP User account (which does have a role(s)) but they are actually completely separate and some may not be linked to a user at all. Selecting attendees on the registration list and trying to set the role on those attendees is not something we have available, nor something we would add to Event Espresso itself so you would need custom development for this from a developer. It is possible to do what you are requesting but the code used will need to be very defensive before it runs to confirm it has the objects it needs. Whilst not as quick, it is possible to get to the WP User account page from the registration, meaning if you are manually updating the users you can find the user directly related to the current registration (if there is one) and update it from there. You could look at hooking into the EE registration process and adding your own code to set a role/capability of the current user based on the event the registration is linked to. Meaning as the registration is created it updates the role, rather than adding this functionality to the registration list and doing it afterwards. |

Which other platform apart from codeable.io will you recommend or can we pay event espresso to develop this type of custom function for us |
You could try posting a job here: https://jobs.wordpress.net/job_category/plugin-development/ Event Espresso staff isn’t available for custom development work at this time. |
