Add Category to Event Overview Page

Is there a way to show the event category on the Event Overview Page (and not have it disappear with the next upgrade)? I know that you can sort by category, but it would be great to show the category without sorting the list of events.

Hi,

Not without a core customisation (which will be over written on update). I will add this to our feature request list.
