Hi Espresso Gurus. I appreciate any assistance. |
Hi Deb, There is a shortcode available that can show that information on the ticket. Login to your WordPress dashboard (WP-admin) and then go to Event Espresso –> Messages and click on Default Message Templates. Look for the Ticket message type and click on Purchaser. The shortcode that can be used to show a custom answer is: [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*] It needs an exact match for the question name. For example, if your question name is: Bus pickup points …then the shortcode will be: [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*Bus pickup points] Here is an example of the shortcode above added to the ticket template: — |

Hi Lorenzo I first tried the question: “Choose Bus Location” .. but this didn’t work, then |
You can try the text editor when you edit the message template instead of the visual editor. The correct short code for that question is:

Thanks once again for your replies and assistance … Any other suggestions ? |
The question text must match exactly what is entered for that question, I ran a test registration on one of your events and the text shows:
The source code for the page shows a space at the end of the question text – http://take.ms/amvhT You will need to also include that within the shortcode for this to work, so with the above question, your shortcode would be:
However, you ask that same question for all of your registrants which means that can all select a different location. That means you don’t want the Try: |

Thanks Tony … I appreciate your assistance. I appreciate any other suggestions ?? |
Hi Deb, Please take another look at my example. The screenshot you have shared does NOT have a space at the end of the shortcode – http://take.ms/MexfP As far as I can tell your question text has a space on the end, you need to include that within the shortcode. |

Thanks Tony, |
Can you send me temporary login details so I can take a look please? You can use this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ Please include details of which ticket template you are using in the above form so I know where to look. |

Hi Tony … I really appreciate your assistance … |
The issue was with the space at the end question text. Adding the space within the shortcode if you have a space at the end of the question text should pull in the answer, however currently it does not. I removed the space from your question text and from the shortcode within the ticket and the answer is now shown on the ticket. I’ve also created a ticket for us to investigate this further. |

Hi Tony …. “You are the Guru” |
You’re most welcome, Deb 🙂 If you have any further problems just let us know. |
