We are currently using Version 4.9.81 on a client website. A third party audited the site for ADA compliance and flagged the following items that we think are related to EE.
• Associate data and header cells in data tables
• Ensures <dl> elements are structured correctly
• Table is missing headers
• Ensures that lists are structured correctly
Are these items related to EE? Is the 4.10.0 more ADA compliant?
May I ask, how is it that the items in the list relate to Event Espresso? For example, the table that’s missing headers, is that a table that’s generated by Event Espresso? As far as I am aware, the html tables generated by Event Espresso include headers.
If you’re unsure where exactly the html markup in question resides on your site, maybe you can check with the auditor and ask them if they be more specific with their recommendations. An example a of more specific recommendation would be something like: “The <dl> elements on page(s) {name or URLs of pages} need their structure corrected.”
If you find that there’s something specific on your site that’s not ADA compliant that’s specific to EE, please let us know and we can include the corrections in a future release.
