A few Add-ons questions

I’m probably going to go with the Business License plan but I have a few questions about the functionality of some of the add-ons that I need.

Does Recurring Events accommodate hourly events instead of daily or weekly events? I’m looking for a solution for a one-day event where people can book 1 or a few hourly slots. I’m not seeing how to choose that option.
With Multiple Event Registration can I charge a flat registration fee regardless of how many time slots (or events) they are attending? I don’t really want to assign prices to individual events. Is that possible?

Thanks!

Hello,

No, recurring events does not support hourly slots. However we have an experimental feature built in that will allow you to limit the number of time slots available for purchase. So you add multiple times and the quantity. If memory serves, it does not work fully with Multiple Event Registration (thus experimental).

With the flat fee, Event Espresso isn’t really geared towards that. Some users have found success with that by using Event Espresso in conjunction with a membership plugin such as S2Member. They use the membership plugin to charge for the access to the events (access to the site), and Event Espresso and the WP User Integration add on to manage the registration process for the individual events.

So instead of the experimental feature, can I just make several events on the same date that are each an hour long and users can add as many as they want to RSVP to with the multiple event registration?

Yeah thats the alternative, but is obviously more labour intensive. You would be advised to look into the Custom Files addon, specifically the Espresso Table shortcode. Will need some html/php tweaking to get it to look exactly like you want, but I would think having the events in a table format will make it much easier on your customers to select the ones they want.
