We’re getting 404’s for any Sold Out Event (EE4).

But it only shows for non-logged in users.

Is there a setting in EE4 that allows Sold Out events to still show publicly?

test (need to see if I get email notifications when someone replies)

There isn’t a setting in EE4 that changes this, because normally sold out events should still be displayed publicly. If you go in to edit any of these events, is there a Publish button? If so, you can click the Publish button that that may help.

It may help to check over your plugins and theme functions to see if any restrictions are set up for displaying posts with a specific status. For example, if another plugin or theme setting has an option to only show posts with a status of Published, that could be what’s affecting things here.

Yes, I can manually publish them.

We keep the classes up as a reference for signed up customers.

Is there no long-term way to stop these from going into unpublished?

Oops replied too soon.

Okay, so does the post go into “pending” or “draft”. What mode is forced when a class moves to Sold out.

I don’t ahve any themes or plugins that hide anything.

Hi Donna,

Is your software up to date: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/

Could you share a list of plugins that are running on your website? You can find this information in WP-admin –> Plugins.

I’ve just updated everything to latest version.

I’ll need to monitor this for a few days, as I manually republished all the 404 classes already. I need to see if it happens again upon a class getting sold out.

I’ll keep you posted

Hi Donna,

I ran some additional searches on this and I saw that another member reported a similar issue earlier this year. However, they had a plugin that could automatically change the status for posts.

Could you share a list of plugins that are running on your site?

Thanks

Lorenzo

Thanks Donna. I didn’t immediately see any plugins that could change the status for a custom post type.

Could you reply here if the issue appears again?
