I will be offering classes via Zoom. It is a single-session class, but offered at multiple times. One event, multiple dates. It looks like the venue is set for the event, not for each date. Is the “registration approved” e-mail also set by event? How do I provide a unique link to the meeting for the date for which the registrant has a ticket? Do I need to set the meetings up differently in Zoom? If the different dates do not have unique meeting room info, how do I keep attendees from joining the meeting on a different day than what they have selected in registration? Thanks!

Hi there,

For the set up you are using you would need to set the zoom information on each individual DateTime or Ticket. Right now within Event Espresso we don’t have a ‘private’ way to do that within the UI, only the datetime description field (which could be used and hidden from most outputs, but not all).

Without custom development, you would either need to add the Zoom info to the fields and above and then hide it, or split the datetimes into individual events themselves (say added the date to the event title/slug to each) and add the zoom information into custom fields on the event itself. Then in the messages, you can us a shortcode to pull that info into the email.

I’ve previously posted on how to do that here:

Will that work for you?

The other option with custom coding is to add a zoom URL/password field onto each datetime, save the values into what we call extra meta and then create shortcodes to pull that information into the message template.
