When our admin was registering someone, it deleted all of the information they had put in and in red it said she need to complete each field…which she redid. She then applied payment and it is showing overpaid – I looked and it is showing the registration as “free” which is not any of our ticket options. How could this happen and is the only recourse to re-do the whole thing? It was a cash payment so she did all the inputting of info.

Hi there,

What was the process your admin used to register someone manually? Was that person using the admin tools (Event Espresso > Events > Registrations > Add New) or the front-end like a normal customer?

When our admin was registering someone, it deleted all of the information they had put in and in red it said she need to complete each field…which she redid.

This can happen if the admin is switching tabs between registrations and breaking their session, for example, if they start a registration in Tab A, then do something on the front end in Tab B which alters their session, then com back to Tab A and try to complete, the session is ‘broken’ so the registration doesn’t work.

Or if they leave the tab open and come back to it later (in which case the session expired).

She then applied payment and it is showing overpaid – I looked and it is showing the registration as “free” which is not any of our ticket options.

If you find the Registration in Event Espresso -> Registrations, click on the TXN Date, then view the the ‘Transaction Items’ in the EE_Transaction, does it show nothing there?

How could this happen and is the only recourse to re-do the whole thing? It was a cash payment so she did all the inputting of info.

If the session is broke and no transactions items are saved within the transaction then yes, it will need to be manually re-created to generate a ‘fixed’ transaction.
