Your card was declined error message

We’ve noticed that when we have been testing the “your card was declined” error message. You have to click the screen and clear the error message the pay now button remains greyed out, you have to click on invoice and then card payment again to pay by another card. Is there a way around this?

We have multiple payment methods available for EE4, so may I ask which payment method are you using?

We’re testing out the Stripe card payments.

Stripe keeps you on their checkout for declined payments and you can close the modal and retry should you wish – http://take.ms/GyIVO

It sounds like you get something different from the above?

Can you link me to an event I can use to take a look?

Are you using the same card details? Which browser are you using?

Can you add a full break down of the steps you are taking, and the values used in the inputs so I can try and reproduce this, please?

Ah ok, I can reproduce that.

I don’t think that error is likely to be thrown often on live due to the way we charge through Stripe, if there is an issue with the card (we don’t use Stripe ‘customers’) the user will run into what I posted in my screenshot with the Stripe checkout showing the error directly.

I have created a ticket to investigate this further, we’ll likely just need to add a listener to re-enable the button if that happens, however it will likely be a low priority ticket if the above is correct.
